Holidays and Center ClosingsMemorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday for a staff in-service training day.
There is no rate reduction during the holidays or for school closings. If a designated holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the proceeding Friday or following Monday is granted as a holiday
- Half Day Holiday Closings:
Christmas Eve closed at 12:30 PM, New Years Eve 4:30 PM
It may be necessary for Room For Growing to close due to snow, energy problems or other unforeseen events. We may choose to close each center on an individual basis according to weather conditions. The general rule is when staff are able to get into the center we are open. Parents are encouraged to listen to WCCO radio AM830 for closing information. When closing is declared during the work day, parents are asked to pick up children within 2 hours of the official closing announcement. The center will remain open until all children have departed with an authorized adult. |
