September 2010
Tuesday, September 7, 2010 kicks off our 2010-11 school year program. We will be maintaining our curriculum that allows the infants through School Age to fully explore their environments and grow developmentally.
- This includes our Baby Signs curriculum and yoga and baby yoga enrichment for infants and toddlers.
- Preschool will continue to build upon our popular Zoo Phonics curriculum for math and reading with the added enrichments of Yoga, Spanish and Social Studies/The World Around us.
Each month, our learning grids are posted on the parent boards that will show you the skills, concepts and signs we are teaching. It also lists the parent activities, special events and environment changes for the month.
Parent Partnerships is a huge component to the success and progress of the children in our program. We are committed to creating and enduring a lasting relationship with each of our parents. Keep a look-out for monthly activities, articles and resources geared for you and your families. Also, we will be doing conferences in October where it is a good time to talk with your child’s teacher about what your goals are for your child in the upcoming year. Along with that, we will be setting up an educational table filled with information on what your child is learning while here at the center.
Also, remember we offer Spanish classes and Music classes for toddlers and preschool as an extra-curricular activity. Let someone know if you are interested in either of these.
We are really excited you have chosen to join us this fall. Our mission is to provide a healthy, safe, and stimulating environment where each child can grow, develop, and learn. If you have any questions or concerns, please see your directors, Melissa and Jodie.
Again, welcome to all our new and returning families!
