February Newsletter
Make this special Valentine Card for a loved one! Trace a large heart onto a sheet of construction paper. Have your child cut out the heart with safety scissors. While he/she's working, take a Polaroid picture of your child, print one from your digital camera, or use a photo you have stored. Take a paper lace doily and invite your child to glue her picture to the doily with the lace around the photo, then glue the doily to the construction-paper heart. Write a cute verse on the heart (older children may want to write it alone, while a younger child can simply sign her name).
Here are a couple examples—or you can make up your own:

Curriculum this month: The infant and toddlers will explore feelings, community helpers, valentine’s and shapes. The toddlers will learn about q, r, & s. They will draw circles, learn about triangles, up & down, and parts of the body. The preschoolers will also learn about q, r, & s. They will talk about Ground Hog’s Day and Presidents. Please look at your classroom’s monthly grids and weekly lesson plans for more activities they will be doing.

Next month is "Bring a Friend to Preschool" month. If you would like to have your child bring a buddy to preschool with them for a day in March,
