News and Notes

We have had an adventuresome start to our summer program with a Magic Show, Field Trip to Look out Ridge, nature hikes, walks to the park, a trip to the library for a concert and some fun in the sun with our water days. We have made some adjustments to our calendars: 1) the Pre 3 classroom is going to the park on Wednesday’s with the School Age class rather than on Friday’s. 2) The Pre 3 and S.A. teachers have added a few extra walking trips to the library to participate in some fun events they have going on this summer. 3) On July 13 we have a visitor; Music with Cindy; coming but she will be here at 3:00p.m. instead of 10:00 a.m. The cost for that event is $3.00. Please continue to watch your child’s classroom door for notes and messages throughout the month.

Thank you! Everyone has been great about remembering to have the appropriate footwear for the playground, walks and trips. As always safety is our main concern and we just want to be as proactive as we can.

Our July theme is Transportation. Our interest areas and activities will incorporate things revolving around land, water and space transportation.

We encourage healthy eating here at RFG. Please remember to send a balanced lunch for your child to enjoy on picnic days. RFG will provide milk for all outings that require a bag lunch. Please see your child’s teacher with any questions
