teasing us again? We’re starting our spring cleaning early by
giving all our classrooms a fresh coat of paint. It is a great time to refresh and renew
decorations and interest areas in our environments. This month the letters we are focusing on are
Q, R, and S so our interest areas include themes having to do with Outer Space, Scales, Rocks
and Restaurant. We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Tues., Feb. 14. Please ask your child’s teacher about plans for that day. If your child is attending kinder-garten
fall 2012 and has not gone through preschool screening they need to do so. This is a requirement before entering kndg. Contact Chisago Lakes Family Center at 651-213-2600 to set up a time.
Some upcoming dates for screenings are Feb. 9, March 8, April 12 and May 31. Thank you to everyone who
participated in our book fair. This is a
great opportunity to add to our library and bring wonderful literacy
experiences to your children. Friday, February 24 we’re offering another “Date
Night” for parents. RFG will stay open til 10:00p.m. You must register for this by Tuesday, Feb. 21 so we can staff accordingly. Supper & snacks will be provided. Registration forms are at the front desk Cook Corner: Lemony Love Potion Ingredients 12-ounce can pink
lemonade concentrate
- 1 cup raspberry
sherbet
- 12-ounce can of
lemon/lime soda (we used 7-Up) Instructions 1. In a pitcher, mix the lemonade concentrate with the
recommended amount of water. 2. In a separate pitcher, combine the sherbet with 1 cup of
the lemonade mixture. 3. Add the soda, stir, and serve. Makes 3 cups.
