Environment

Our infant classroom has it's own kitchen area, crib room, 2 play areas for mobile and immobile infants, and a covered deck that is attached to the classroom for outdoor play.  Our classroom does not have high chairs or swings.  The children sit at a low wooden table with chairs.  If they are unable to sit up in the chairs, we have chairs with trays on them that sit on the floor so everyone is at the same level and it feels more family like.  There are rocking chairs for the teachers to hold and feed the babies in otherwise the teachers are on the floor interacting and exploring with the children.  Every month we are adding new interest areas in sensory, science, music and dramatic play for the babies to explore and develop.  Each child has their own cubbie and coat hook to keep their things from home.

We have 2 toddler rooms that are connected by a bathroom with changing tables and toddler size toilets.  The classroom environments are set up with dramatic play areas, block corners, book corners, music centers, science centers, art easels, and toy shelves with cognitive and manipulative activities.  Our classroom walls display the children's art work along with a "All about me" bulletin board and interactive games for the children.  Each child has a cubbie and a coat hook to keep their things from home.

The preschool program has 3 rooms for ages 2 1/2-5 years of age.  Each classroom has it's own bathroom.  The classroom environments include areas such as dramatic play, block corner, science center, art shelf/easel, book corner, writing centers, music and a group time area.  Each child has their own cubbie and coat hook to keep their things from home.  The preschool rooms also have computers in them for the children to learn and explore with. 

Our school age classroom is the largest of all our rooms with plenty of space for the kids to spread out.  It to is set up with a variety of interest areas like dramatic play, blocks, science, art, computers, library, board games, etc.  Their areas are more expansive and have a larger variety of materials for the children to explore with.  This classroom also has it's own bathroom.  Each child has their own cubbie and coat hook to keep their things from home.
