Our job requirements

Room for Growing is licensed through the state of Minnesota and holds a 4 star rating by the states Parent Aware program. We are also accreditted by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Chidren). Our staffing requirements are based on criteria from these two organizations.

Teacher's Aid Requirements:

*At least 16 years of age
*Have a high school diploma or are working towards one
*Experience working with young children
*Able to obtain training in CPR, First Aid, SIDS, Shaken Baby sydrome, and Bloodborne Pathogens

Assistant Teacher Requirements:

*At least 18 years of age
*A minimum of 12 quarter credits in Early Childhood courses from an accreditted college
*Experience as an aide or student intern
*Able to obtain training in CPR, First Aid, SIDS, Shaken Baby sydrome, and Bloodborne Pathogens

Lead Teacher Requirements:

*At least 18 years of age
*A minimum of 24 quarter credits in Early Childhood courses from an accreditted college
*Experience as a assistant teacher or student intern
*Able to obtain training in CPR, First Aid, SIDS, Shaken Baby syndrome, and Bloodborne Pathogens
